Twenty six students of the Kebbi State School of Nursing have been with-drawn for presenting fake secondary school results.
The principal of the school Alhaji Bala Muham-mad Kende who made the disclosure to newsmen at the weekend in Birnin Kebbi said the affected stu-dents were part of those admitted between 2012 and 2013.
Kende also appealed to the government to renovate dilapidated structures at the school to ensure a conducive learning envi-ronment.
He said 18 students were withdrawn from the 2012 set while the school authority discovered that eight students from the 2013 set also had fake secondary school results.
“We are going to com-mence monthly verifica-tion of results. Our aim is to enhance students’ performance. As I speak to you, the school authority has resolved that any student caught with fake results should be handed over to the police for further investigation. We must fight corruption, especially in institutions that have to do with professional medical training to save human live,” he said.
He called on parents to caution their children and wards against presenting questionable results for admission.
