Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Post-Basic Orthopaedic Nursing Programme at National Orthopaedic Hospital Dala, Kano.

The course is designed for specialized training in Orthopaedic Nursing.


Lectures (Theory and Practical demoastratlons)
Case studies and Group Presentations.


Applicant must be registered Nurses (SRN) or RN) with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Applicant must have five credits in science subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology .

A minimum of two years post qualification working experience is required.

Previous experience of Orthopaedic Nursing is an advantage.

Candidates must be sponsored for the course.

Sponsoring authorities will be fully responsible for the payment of their candidate’s Salaries and allowances whilst in training.


The course is non-residential but limited accommodation is available on first come first serve basis .

A payment of non-refundable fee of N5,OOO.00 is made payable to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala – Kano. Postal orders and Bank Drafts are not acceptable, but cash payment can be made to the Chief Accountant of the Hospital.

Completed application forms duly endorsed by sponsors together with photocopies of relevant credentiafs must be forwarded to the Medical Director, National Orthopaedic HosPital, Dala – Kano to reach him not later than July 31st 2013.

Candidates should note that there would be a written and Oral Interview on 13th and 14th August 2013 starting from 8:30am each day.
