An official report reaching liveschoolnews.org news desk from the federal polytechnic Oko registra, Anthony Nwaokolobia, has it that, The Federal polytechnic, Oko has pulled out of the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) strike to enable their students write the second semester examinations and cover the academic calendar of the institution.

This announcement was made yesterday evening after the emergency meeting of the Academic Board of Federal Polytechnic Oko who reiterated their support of the agitation of the union but has to put the fate of students into consideration as they have wasted a lot of time at home.

Below is the text message sent to liveschoolnews.org by the school registra, Anthony Nwaokolobia

The Academic Board of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and the Governing Council of the Institution, have directed the immediate reopening of the School and resumption of Lectures with immediate effect.

The suspended 2012/2013 second semester exams and lectures for fresh students will commence on Monday, July 7, 2014.

All concerned, please take note and be guided.

Further speaking, the school registra disclosed to liveschoolnews.org grapevine that students were expected to resume on the stated date unfailingly because academic activities would commence immediately.

According to him, the suspended 2012/2013 second semester examinations for returning Students will commence on Monday, July 7, 2014.

He added that “the second semester examination for all returning students will commence on Monday, July, 7, upon resumption.’’

He advised the students to ensure strict compliance with the resumption date.
