The Senate of the Ekiti State University has directed students of the institution to resume academic activities on Monday, 6th January, 2014.

The decision follows the suspension of the over 5
months old strike by the Academic Staff Union of
Nigeria Universities (ASUU).

By this directive, returning students are to begin
registration and lectures on the resumption date. The Vice-
Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina has assured
all students that lost grounds would be covered as quickly as possible while urging the students to remain peaceful and be law abiding on campus.

Speaking exclusively to liveschoolnews.org grapevine, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina said the students were expected to resume on the stated date unfailingly because academic activities would commence immediately.

He advised the students to ensure strict compliance with the resumption date.
