The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina has advised fresh students of the institution to stay away from any form of vices or anti-social activities such as cultism, examination malpractice and drug abuse.

He also advise the fresh students to face their academic activities and avoid unnecessary prolongation of their stay in the university in pursuit of their education.

The Vice-Chancellor gave the admonition on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 during the matriculation ceremony for fresh students of the 2014/2015 academic session.

He said “you do not need to spend five to six years for a four year course”.

Congratulating the new students, Professor Aina said that they should consider themselves lucky to be those chosen out of the several thousands of candidates who made EKSU their first choice adding that University was a refinery for better life.

The Registrar of the University, Mr. Adebisi Ogunyemi administered the matriculation oath on the students.
