Academic activities have resumed at Federal University Otuoke for the 2014/2015 Second Semester.

In a chat with FUO media on the resumption, Dean Student Life, Dr. Mercillina Offoha said lectures have commenced as scheduled and a good number of students have resumed.

The Dean who said the University has restructured accommodation arrangements noted that 100 male students have been moved to former FUO female hostel opposite (Otazi House) and 76 others moved to Beach Road Hostel.

The female students previously occupying the FUO hostel have relocated to “Mama Jonathan” and West Campus hostels respectively.

She maintained that the rules guiding the hostels still stand advising students to adhere strictly to them.

Morifu Karimot Adekemi, a 200-Level Microbiology student, expressed excitement at re-uniting with colleagues again after the holiday.

She said most of them resumed the semester with renewed vigour, noting that the holiday offered them the opportunity to relax and be rejuvenated for the bookwork ahead.
