The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board on Thursday, 10 January 2019 commenced the registration for the 2019 UTME for all prospective candidates. No candidate should register at any centers other than the accredited CBT centers and JAMB State office. Any candidate who is registered outside approved centers will be identified and disqualified.

Simple Steps To Register For Jamb CBT 2019/2020 JAMB

  1. Have a personal and Valid Email Account (Preferably a Gmail Account).
  2. Create your Jamb Profile.
  3. Pay for Jamb 2019 E-Pin-Registration.
  4. Visit any accredited Jamb CBT Center around you.
  5. Provide your full and accurate details.
  6. 10 Fingers Biometric and Image Capture.
  7. Register and Collect Your E-Slip.
  8. Collect Brochure, Syllabus and Other Materials.

1. Have A Valid Email address:

It is important for candidates intending to registered for the Jamb 2019/2020 to have a valid Email.  Email is the address you can use to get messages online. It is very easy to create an email account. 7 Best Free Email Accounts are;

Note: If you already have an email account, you do not need to create another one.

2. Create Jamb Profile:

The next step is to create a Jamb profile. It is very compulsory for you to register your profile before obtaining Jamb 2019 Registration Form. The important of creating Jamb profile is for Jamb online result checking, Admission status check, Admission letter printing, Accessing Jamb caps and so on.

Note: If you have already created a Jamb profile during 2019 registration, you don’t need to create another.

3. Pay For Jamb 2019 E-Pin Registration:

Now that you have a valid email address and Jamb profile, what next? Get the E-Pin. Jamb E-Registration Pin can be gotten in many ways. However, I recommend going through any of the procedures below.

  • Get E-Pin at Jamb Accredited Banks in Nigeria
  • Paying on Jamb portal
  • Go to Nigeria Post Office (NIPOST).
  • Paying with ATM
  • Paying with your phone.

E-PIN PAYMENT THROUGH BANKS INCLUDING MICRO FINANCE BANKS:

Present Profile Code and pay by cash or card
ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

 E-PIN PAYMENT THROUGH POS:

This is available at State Offices of JAMB + CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it

E-PIN PAYMENT THROUGH MOBILE MONEY OPERATORS:

This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets

E-PIN PAYMENT USING ATM:

This is available on all ATM outlets of Participating Banks listed in 5C(I) (InterSwitch Channel).

E-PIN ONLINE PAYMENT ON JAMB PORTAL:

  1. Visit JAMB website: jamb.gov.ng

Procedure for the eight foreign centers only is as follows:

The registration fee for candidates from the eight foreign countries is $20 or its equivalent in each of the eight countries

Candidates from the eight foreign countries are to download the Application from the Board’s website (www.jamb.gov.ngcomplete and submit it with the fee at the eight designated centers as indicated on the website.

4. Visit Any Accredited Jamb CBT Registration Center:

The next step is to visit any accredited JAMB CBT registration centers to carry out your registration.

Note: No candidate should register at any centers other than the accredited CBT centers and JAMB State office. Any candidate who is registered outside approved centers, will be identified and disqualified. ‘

At the Accredited Jamb CBT Centre, you will be given a CD containing the following for free:

  • e-brochure showing guidelines on admission detailing list of tertiary institutions and available programmes of study.
  •  Syllabus (e-syllabus) for the examination.
  • Step by step guide on completion of the application form.
  • A video messages from the Registrar of JAMB and a demo on how to use eight (8) keys for UTME examination without the mouse.

Registration Process At CBT Centres:

i.      Pay NOT more than N700 as Service Charge to the CBT Centre

ii.     Provide Biodata including Date of Birth, Nationality, State of Origin, Local Government, Gender, e-mail address, among others

iii.     Provide a choice of institutions and programmes (disciplines)

iv.    Provide qualification with grades and dates, if not awaiting result

v.     Upload relevant certificates, if not awaiting result

vi.    O/L and or A/L grades are to be provided by candidates. Candidates who are awaiting results should supply the results online as soon as they are available on JAMB’s portal. No recommendations from any Institution will be considered by JAMB if the candidate has not supplied his/her result on the portal of JAMB

vii.    Supply JAMB registration number for previous institutional certificates for DE only

viii.   Provide UTME subjects and choice of examination town(s) for

(a)     Mock examination  (optional)

(b)     Examination for UTME (actual examination)

ix.      Do picture capture (no scanning of passport photograph)

x.      Do Biometric enrolment (ten fingers)

xi.      Review entries and confirm correctness

xii.     Print Registration Slip USING BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION

xiii.    Collect, at no other cost, the reading text and CD

xiv.   Each Candidate is to collect his/her e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration.

The most important thing you need to do when you visit any accredited centers to carry out your registration is to provide accurate details. Make sure your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice of institution is accurate. Your subject combinations are accurate, the spelling of your name is in order before you proceed.

6. 10 Fingers Biometric (If Applicable):

Still, at the Registration Center, the four things below will happen:

  • Jamb will take all your fingerprint
  • Your O-level or A-level result will be submitted.
  • You can use awaiting result.
  • You can use two sittings. I.e, one awaiting and one complete result or two complete results.

7. Collect Your Jamb E-Slip:

When you are through with your registration, make sure you collect your JAMB E-slip.
