KWASU ADMISSION INTO 2014/2015 – INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD (IJMB) EXAMINATION PROGRAMME BEGINS

THE PROGRAMME

The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination Programme of the KWASU Centre for Advanced Basic Studies (CABS) is designed to prepare candidates for DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION to 200 level of regular degree programmes.

The intent of the programme among others is to specifically provide space for candidates that could not gain admission into regular degree programmes in Nigerian University for one reason or the other.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates seeking admission into KWASU Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB)Examination Programme must possess five (5) ordinary level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language. For candidates pursuing courses in Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences and Management Sciences, credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory from any of WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB obtained at not more than two sittings. However;
v Science and Engineering candidates with a minimum of pass grade in English Language will be considered for admission but that such candidates will take O’level IJMB English Language and possess a credit pass in any other subject to make up for the five credits ‘O’ level requirements.

v Similarly, Arts, Management and Social Sciences candidates with a minimum of pass grade in Mathematics will be considered for admission but that such candidates will take O’level IJMB Mathematics and possess a credit pass in any other subject to make up for the five credits ‘O’ level requirements.

Click on Apply Now

On the payment platform select the programme CABS (IJMB)

Select your Target Course of Study, then click proceed

Complete the registration form

Proceed to payment of the Application fee of ten thousand naira (=N=10,000:00) only

Enter your ATM information and submit for payment

Finally, Print your receipt for screening.

Proceed to obtain the application forms either from the Main Campus, Kwara State University, Malete or at the University contact of office, old Jebba road, Sango, Ilorin.

In either of the two methods Successful candidates will have their names published on-line and SMS messages shall be sent to them on their GSM numbers for further directives.

CRITERIA FOR ADVANCEMENT TO 200 LEVEL For Candidates to be admitted to 200 level, they must:

v Possess five credits in relevant subjects at O’level
v Apply through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by obtaining the DIRECT ENTRY FORMS from the JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD (JAMB).
v Pass the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Examination.

ACCOMMODATION

The Students will be fully accommodated in the University approved Hostels and are expected to conform to the rules and regulations guiding the day-to-day operations of the Hostels. It is compulsory that students live in the approved hostels in order to ensure effective learning.
