The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 18 new programmes for the Ebonyi State University (EBSU).

This was made know to newsmen by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Francis Idike.

Idike stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Martin Elechi in his office.
He said out of 20 programmes presented to NUC for accreditation, 18 have been approved with the remaining two getting interim accreditation.

He described the development as a huge success.

Idike said the management of the school will ensure that the remaining programmes also get full accreditation from the NUC.

Elechi commended the management of the school, saying that government will continue to support the institution to achieve its desired objectives.
