The visit of the Accreditation team of National Universities Commission (NUC) to Salem University on the 20 January, 2014 to accredit the academic programmes offered at the Department of Management Sciences of the University has received 100 per cent accreditation from NUC.
Salem University, Lokoja played host to the National Universities Commission in the pre-accreditation visit.
The visit of the NUC to the University was to access, inspect and examine the physical facilities/structures and the academic content of the programmes (Accounting and Business Management) offered in the Department of Management Sciences.
The team was impressed at the acceleration of physical and man power development recorded by the University within six years of its take off.
The programmes received 100 per cent (full) accreditation from NUC. The University has several milestones and has continued to do well in all its power at its disposal to make sure it improves the standard of education in Nigeria.
The last accreditation visit by NUC (before this) scored 100 per cent. Salem University is one of the enlisted Universities in the country recognized and accredited by the Institution of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
The Professional accreditation of the Accounting Department of the University was a success. The Accreditation Certificate was presented to the University on the 9th of April, 2013 in Lagos by the ICAN President, Mr. Adedoyin Idowu Owolabi following the accreditation visit by the ICAN.
