The Rumola police command are investicating a case over alleged jamb UTME registration fraud by one Chima Jeremiah around Rumola axis in Obio-Akor local government area.

The senior police officer told grapevine that Jeremiah allegedly collected money for lligal registration for prospective candidates for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board (JAMB)

The police officer said Jeremiah did not have the required access code issued by the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the registration of UTME Candidates, adding that the suspect successfully dupe 42 candidates before luck ran out of Him.

Chima Jeremiah was caught after he printed a fake Jamb slip for the son of a retired navy officer in D-line area of porthacourt.

The police officer appealled to the public to be careful of road side cyber cafe operators, especially on the issue of Jamb registration.

It would be re-called that an official of the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board (JAMB) in porthacourt had explain that only four centers have been approved for the registration for UTME candidates in River State.
