THE Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic – Institute of Continuing Education, ASUPICE, Asaba chapter, has given the Delta State Government a 21-day ultimatum to investigate alleged maladministration by the institute’s leadership.
Chairperson of the chapter, F. C. Obiuwevbi, in a letter addressed to the Commissioner, Higher Education, Asaba, said: “If these issues are not resolved within 21 days, the union may be compelled to seek other legal redress to achieve its goals.”

It alleged that funds allocated to the institute had not been accounted for and urged the government to investigate all the funds received by the institute through subventions, development levies, tuition, matriculation fees, WAEC fees, extension, identity card and other levies, which were not used for the purpose since 2010.
