The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adebiyi Daramola, has urged members of the Muslim Community in FUTA to use the Ramadan Period to deepen their devotion and pray for the progress and peace of the institution and the country. In a message issued to felicitate with the Muslim community on the commencement of Ramadan, Professor Daramola urged them not to relent in their devotion and observance of the tenets of the Islamic Faith as enshrined in the Quran.

“I once again enjoin our brothers and sisters in Islam to use this period to recommit themselves to the service of God through supplication, alms giving and demonstration of love to all especially the less privileged in the society. This period which is a key pillar of the Islamic faith provides an opportunity for renewal of faith, supplication and rededication to the service of God and humanity. They should seize the opportunity to pray for the peace and progress of FUTA and our country” Professor Daramola said.

The Vice Chancellor also prayed that Allah will accept their sacrifice in the month as an act of ibadah and give them the strength to carry through the important religious obligation.
