FACT ABOUT SAMUEL ADEGBOYEGA UNIVERSITY

Samuel Adegboyega University (SAU) is a private university established by The Apostolic Church, LAWNA Territory, Nigeria, and is located in Ogwa, Edo State. It was granted an operational licence by the Federal Government on Monday, March 7, 2011. The University admitted its first set of students in 2011/2012 academic session.

The university is envisioned to be a world class university, excellent in academic traditions and exceptional in providing university education which empowers the graduates to act with professional competence and ethical steadfastness in fulfilling their obligation to the Society.

The Mission of the university is to provide wholesome and comprehensive education for intellectual and spiritual development of its student in preparation for leadership roles and service to Society.

The university is a fully residential institution with excellent Academic and Hall of Residence facilities.

The Univeristy is located at Kilometre 1, Ogwa-Ehor Road, P. M. B. 001, Ogwa, Edo State

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

(A) ADMISSION INTO 100-LEVEL:

For admission into 100 level, candidates must possess credit level passes in five (5) subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’ Level / NECO/NABTEB or equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings.

The subjects passed must include English Language and Mathematics for Basic& Applied Sciences and Management & Social Sciences programmes, and English Language for Humanities programmes.

Candidates awaiting SSCE / GCE / O’Level / NECO / NABTEB results may also apply provided the results will be available at the time of Matriculation.

(B) ADMISSION THROUGH DIRECT ENTRY INTO 200-LEVEL:

Candidates for admission into 200-level must have, inaddition to requirements for admission into 100-level, passed G.C.E (A/L) in 2 relevant subjects or passed NCE,OND, HND or equivalent at not less than lower credit level.

JAMB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have sat for the 2012/2013 UTME of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attain the prescribed cut-off mark. This is a statutory requirement for admission into Samuel Adegboyega University.

Applicants are to ensure that their UTME subject combinations qualify them for their chosen programmes.

POST-UTME

Samuel Adegboyega University also conducts a Post-UTME screening exercise.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Candidates are required to obtain Change of Institution Form at the University Campus or at the Liaison Office in LAWNA Territorial Headquarters, Ketu, Lagos.
